A video showing the step-by-step of how to access photos from social media.
Can I use the Nixplay cloud app to share images from my social media accounts? This is currently not yet possible; our developers are in the process of integrating these and would be possible on our new product lines set to be released in the near future. In the meantime we recommend that our valuable consumers use the desktop app.
Is it possible to directly transfer photos to my frame automatically from a social media account?
As many users would have a significant amount of photos stored on the cloud servers such as Google Photos, users can move photos onto their Nixplay account playlists. Users will have to do so manually, as the function to pair up the frame's content management system (CMS) is still under development. This applies to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest and pretty much every other social platforms - download the images you need and save on your computer first.
How do I upload photos from my Instagram account?
On your Nixplay account homepage, click Albums, then click on the Instagram button (highlighted in yellow)
You can click an album to see all the photos there displayed. The example below demonstrates this:
There are 2 ways in selecting photos to be added to your account.
1. If you’re selecting one photo, just choose the photo then drag and drop to the slideshow you want the photos to be added.
2. If you’re selecting multiple photos, just click on the box at the upper left hand corner of each photos then drag and drop to the slideshow you want the photos to be added.
Both commands can be achieved by clicking the 'Actions' tap highlighted in yellow below:
The check on the box indicates that the photo is marked and will be included in the transfer.
The number on the lower right corner indicates the number of photos included in the transfer .
If you’re adding photos to an existing slideshow, just drag and drop to the existing slideshow you want the photos to be added, click the save button., after selecting the slideshow that you would like from the right hand corner, highlighted below:
If you’re adding photos to a NEW slideshow just drag and drop to the new slideshow, click on save.
You will be asked if you want to SAVE or SAVE AND SEND TO FRAME. (Clicking SAVE would add the photos to the slideshow BUT will not be displayed on the frame since the new slideshow has not been assigned to the frame yet. Clicking on the SAVE AND SEND TO FRAME would save the photos and assign it to the current frame you have the account paired with.)
After clicking on either SAVE or SAVE AND SEND TO FRAME, wait for the confirmation text to show on the upper left hand corner of the page and you're done.
My Frame does not have capabilities for playing photos for social media, what can I do? If your frame doesn't appear to have these capabilities, we suggest that you invest in one of our latest version that operate on the cloud. One good example would be our latest product, the Nixplay Iris, making it easier to use and more connected than ever before.
