Email Users Helpful Info
About this aspect:
This topic is for people who will be sending photos to @mynixplay.com email albums. Aside from email there are a few other ways to do this from iPhone and Android smartphones as well that I will cover later in the topic. There are also new features for routing emailed photos to your Playlists and Albums toward the bottom of this article.
The part to make clear is that the nixplay user will only receive the photos and not the textual portion of the message.
Let’s start by mentioning a few aspects about the photos.
The types of photos ATTACHED in an email message is very important. Please do not embed/paste photos into the email or forward emails with visible pictures.
.JPEG or .jpg & .png are the acceptable photo formats. (Specifically RGB color space and not CYMK)
The sizes vary for different email providers so these are general values provided.
The size of a single photo should be less than 8MB.
The entire message you should keep to below 25MB.
Note: Different email providers will have different limitations on email size so this value may be lower.
If you receive a returned message that the photos were not accepted, please review the above topics for an issue noted above. Many times logos and signatures can cause the issues since they may not be .jpg or .png files. We usually remove them and still process the attached photos.
Alternative Mobile Apps:
At Nixplay we have a couple of easy to use iPhone and Android phone apps. They have been specifically designed for smartphones and are available on iTunes App Store for the iPhone and GooglePlay for Android Phones. Just search for nixplay.
From the apps you can easily take photos and directly send them to Friends and Playlists.
