The Nixplay Iris W08E has a light sensor that automatically adjusts the frame’s screen brightness based on the light level in the surrounding environment. When the frame wakes up from a sleep cycle, the light sensor has a lag and requires some time to adjust to the proper brightness and contrast setting, during which time the user may perceive a difference in the photos’ contrast or saturation.
If the auto-brightness feature is not producing the desired outcome, the light sensor can be switched off by following these steps:
- Go to Main Settings
- Navigate to Display / Volume sub-settings
- Make sure the box labeled "Light Sensor" is unchecked.
- On the same screen, set the Brightness to the desired setting.
Don’t turn off the Activity Sensor. This simply turns off the microphone that detects sound activity to turn the screen on/off. Doing this will not solve the issue.
