The aspect ratio (ratio of width and height of photo) of your frame is actually compatible with your phone.
When viewing photos on your Nixplay frame, you have the option to choose between Fill Screen and Fit To Screen transition setting.
Fill Screen resizes the photos to fill the entire screen of your frame while maintaining the original aspect ratio of the photo. We maintain the aspect ratio so that photos will not appear stretched. If both your photo and frame are in landscape, it will show up perfectly. However, if your photo is in portrait while frame is in landscape, only a portion of the photo can be displayed on the screen.
If you have a mixture of portrait and landscape photos, it is best to set the transition to Fit to Screen. Landscape photos will fill the entire screen if frame is set to landscape. But for portrait photos in a landscape frame, only a portion of the screen will be used, with the rest of the screen blank. We don’t want to distort the photo to fill the entire screen which will cause the photo to appear stretched.
