Set Up Your Frame
Use the cable stand to prop up your frame at the perfect viewing angle. You can position your frame in either portrait or landscape mode.
Select Nixplay Frames can be mounted on a wall. See the corresponding Wall Mounting Guide for compatible frames.
Turn On Your Frame
Your Nixplay Frame will automatically turn on once plugged. Use the included remote control to follow the on-screen instructions.
Create Your Nixplay Account
You’ll need a Nixplay account to pair and manage your frame. You can create a Nixplay account on the Nixplay app (Get it for iOS / Get it for Android) or at www.nixplay.com. Use your email address and create a unique password to create an account.
Pair Your Frame
Nixplay Frames need to be connected to Wi-Fi in order to work. Connect your frame to the Wi-Fi network by entering your Wi-Fi password using your remote control. Once connected, a 16-digit serial number will appear on the frame screen.
Log into your Nixplay account on the Nixplay app or at www.nixplay.com. Select “Pair a New Frame” and enter the 16-digit serial number shown on the frame. Your Nixplay Frame should now be paired with your Nixplay account.
Start Displaying Your Photos
Using The Nixplay App:
If you have an existing playlist that you want to see on your paired frame:
- Select Photos
- Select an existing playlist and tap on the three dots located at the upper right corner of the screen.
- Select Assign to Frame and choose the frame where you want the playlist to be displayed. Tap on the X on the upper left corner of the screen when you’re finished.
If it’s your first time to upload photos on your Nixplay Frame:
- Select Photos.
- choose + New Playlist.
- Select the location of your photos.
- Your phone’s Photo Library
- Select the photos you want to display. Add captions if you wish.
- Select the Blue paper airplane icon to send the photos to your paired frame.
- The photos you selected will be grouped in a new playlist. Name your playlist, assign a frame where it would be displayed, and select Confirm.
- Your Nixplay Cloud Album
- Select the album where the photos you want to display are located.
- Choose the photos you want to display.
- Select the blue paper airplane icon to send the photos to your paired frame.
- The photos you selected will be grouped in a new playlist. Name your playlist, assign a frame where it would be displayed, and select Confirm.
- Create a Dynamic Playlist with Google Photos
- Sign in to your Google account to access Google Photos.
- Select the photos or the album you want to display on your frame to create a dynamic playlist.
- Up to 1000 of your most recent or album-ordered photos will be synced on your dynamic playlist. The dynamic playlist will automatically be updated every time you add a photo or a video to your selected Google Photos album.
- Select Photos again. Your new dynamic playlist should appear in the Playlists tab. Tap on the three dots at the upper right corner of the playlist’s cover photo. Select Assign to Frame and choose the frame where you want the playlist to be displayed. Tap on the X on the upper left corner of the screen when you’re finished.
Using The Nixplay Website:
If you have an existing playlist that you want to see on your paired frame:
- Select Photos.
- Select an existing playlist and drag it to the frame where you want the playlist to be displayed.
- Select Publish to start displaying your photos.
If it’s your first time to upload photos on your Nixplay Frame:
- Select Create a Playlist.
- You can upload a Standard Playlist, which contains photos uploaded from your computer or social media account
- Select Add Photos and choose your source.
- From my computer: Select the photos you want to display on your frame and click on Open. These photos will be uploaded on your playlist.
- From my Album: Choose the photos you want to display from your existing Nixplay Albums. Select Add to my Playlist when you’re done.
- From my Social Media: Select the social media account where the photos you want to display are located. Choose from Facebook, Google Photos, Instagram, Dropbox, Flickr, and Verizon Cloud. Connect with your chosen social media account, choose the album where the photos you want to display are located, select your photos, and click on Add to my Playlist.
- Select Add Photos and choose your source.
- You can also upload a Dynamic Playlist, which is synced directly from Dropbox and is automatically updated each time you add a new photo to your Dropbox account.
- Log in to your Dropbox account.
- Select the folder where your photos are located.
- Choose the photos you want to display on your frame and set the maximum number of photos that will be automatically synced to your Nixplay playlist.
- Select Finish when you’re done.
